"The Passion" is a FREE interactive Easter community passion play featuring a live cast and audience participation
Performances are held annually at St Elvan’s in the week following Passion Sunday for schools, and open public performances on the Saturday preceding Palm Sunday for all Additional events and services are also held during The Passion week, to which all are welcome. Details of these can be found below Originally devised by Riding Lights Theatre of York, "The Passion" is a 45 minute play where attendees become part of the cast, and help bring the Easter story to life Amended and costumed by St Elvan's, this powerful production now paints a vivid picture of Jesus’ last week before the crucifixion, with dialogue, music and moments of reflection, taking us from the noisy crowd cheering Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, on to Calvary and through the moving drama of the crucifixion itself The full timetable for the week of The Passion is outlined below.
