The People's Passion
|
"The People's Passion" is a FREE interactive Easter community passion play featuring a live cast and audience participation
Performances are held annually at St Elvan’s in the week following Passion Sunday for schools, and an open performance on the Saturday preceding Palm Sunday for all Originally devised by Riding Lights Theatre of York, "The People's Passion" is a 45 minute play where attendees become part of the cast, and help bring the Easter story to life Amended and costumed by St Elvan's, this powerful production paints a vivid picture of Jesus’ last week before the crucifixion, with dialogue, music and moments of reflection, taking us from the noisy crowd cheering Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, on to Calvary and through the moving drama of the crucifixion itself |
