Christmas The Story
Christmas The Story is the annual live multimedia nativity production, performed here in the heart of Aberdare town centre at St Elvan's by the churches, chapels and community of Cynon Valley
Featuring a mixture of live actors, sound, light and screen, the performance features a FREE 20 minute production of The Christmas Story, together with a wealth of additional FREE activities for children, including live donkey stables, Christmas carol bell-ringing and colouring activities for all ages, plus a range of festive drinks and foodstuffs available from our in-house coffee shop, "Spires"
2026 performances will take place daily, Monday November 30th to Friday December 4th at 09:30, 11:00 & 13:30, and Saturday December 5th at 11:00, 13:30 and 15:00. An additional preview performance also takes place on Sunday November 29th at 16:00, as part of the Aberdare Christmas Event, just prior to the town Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting
Welsh language performances take place Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday morning at 11:00am
