Coalfield Communities - Then & Now
"Coalfield Communities - Then & Now" is an open photography project, and part of the wider 2024 | 25 Miners Strikes anniversary project "Voices From Underground"
"Coalfield Communities" aims to create a repository of period images from across the South Wales and wider, of locations where coalmines were based, juxtaposed against new images of those same locations today - our coalfield communities, then and now |
We're also looking for photographs of individuals, from the time of the Miners Strikes, and a second photograph of the same person today
The project is seeking participation from volunteer photographers from across South Wales & wider

All images submitted will be placed here on the Coalfield Communities page as an open educational resource for all
